Why you can't get one in Moldova.
Romania, Moldova's western neighbour, has five Swatch boutiques but none of them stock the Royal Pop either. The closest stocking boutiques sit further west in Vienna, Budapest and Milan. That is a long drive or a flight, plus an overnight stay, plus a queue at the boutique door at opening time, with the boutique enforcing a one-piece-per-person-per-store-per-day cap. Popular colorways are usually gone before lunch on restock days. Several Moldovan buyers have made the trip and come home without the watch. We send a sourcing partner to the boutique so the trip is not on you, and we deal with the EU export and Moldovan import in one go.
How our sourcing service works.
You pick your colorway on our shop page and pay in EUR through Stripe. Our team in Vienna collects the watch from one of our EU boutique sources, inspects it, photographs it, and ships it to Moldova with all export documentation prepared. Standard colorways are €1,500 ex-VAT, Otto Rosso is €1,100, Blaue Acht is €1,300, Lan Ba is €3,200, and the Complete Set is €15,000. Because Moldova is outside the EU customs union, the price you pay at checkout is ex-VAT, and Moldovan customs will assess local VAT and any duty on import. We include a clear customs invoice so this stage moves quickly and predictably.
Shipping to Moldova.
Shipments to Moldova leave Vienna within 3 to 7 working days of your order. DHL Express then handles the route to Chișinău, typically 3 to 5 working days, fully insured and tracked end to end. Customs clearance in Moldova usually adds one extra working day. The package contains the watch in its original Swatch box, the boutique receipt with the serial number, our resale invoice for customs, and a tracking sheet. Moldovan VAT of 20 percent and any applicable duty are payable on import and are not included in the price you see on our site.
