Why you can't get one in Malta.
Unlike most EU countries, Malta has no land border with a country that has a Royal Pop boutique. The nearest stocking locations are in Milan, Rome and Vienna, which means a full flight, an overnight stay and a queue at opening time with no guarantee the colorway you want will still be on the shelf. Swatch enforces a one-piece-per-person-per-store-per-day rule, and the popular colorways tend to be gone within the first hour of restock days. Several Maltese buyers have flown to Milan, lined up, and gone home empty handed. We send a sourcing partner to the boutique on your behalf so a trip from Malta is not part of the process.
How our sourcing service works.
Choose your colorway on our shop page and pay in EUR via Stripe. Our team in Vienna places the order with a boutique partner in Austria or Italy, collects the watch within the week, inspects it, photographs it for your records, and dispatches it to Malta from inside the EU. Standard colorways are €1,500 ex-VAT, Otto Rosso is €1,100, Blaue Acht is €1,300, Lan Ba is €3,200, and the Complete Set is €15,000. Malta VAT is added automatically at checkout based on your delivery address, so the final number on the order confirmation is the final number you pay. No extra invoice at the door.
Shipping to Malta.
Shipments to Malta leave Vienna within 3 to 7 working days of your order. DHL Express then handles the flight to Luqa and the final mile to your address, typically in 2 to 3 working days. The full route is tracked and insured for the watch's full value. Because Malta is inside the EU customs union and the watch ships from Austria, there is no import duty and no customs broker fee. The package arrives with the watch in its original Swatch box, the boutique receipt showing the serial number, and our resale invoice with the Maltese VAT line itemised.
